In an interview with Official Playstation Magazine, as picked up on by Goonline Games, RockSteady’s Sefton Hill was able to expertly tiptoe around official confirmation of a sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum while still letting us know that there is a lot of good stuff to explore should a return to the universe ever be made. Specifically, Hill had this to say when asked directly if a sequel is in the wings: ‘I’m not really allowed to comment on that, but there are definitely lots of exciting stories to tell in Batman’s world, and I can say that we’re really privileged to work on it, and excited about future possibilities.’ While a return to gaming for the Dark Knight is a no-brainer (after all, B:AA was the highest rated super hero game of all time), I like how the comment discusses going back to “Batman’s world”. Perhaps the confines of Arkham are a little too small – Gotham may be a more appropriate stage for the sequel. |
