The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, will reportedly never leave you without things to do. In a recent interview, Todd Howard discussed the game’s “Radiant” quest system, which procedurally generates content as players work their way through the game. While the main plot has a distinct endpoint, there will always be tasks NPCs will come up with for you to complete. The examples given are only killing and collection quests, but there’s more to the Radiant quest system than that: It also ties into the guilds. The Radiant quest system allows players to do “extra work” for their guild, be it the Dark Brotherhood or the Thieves’ Guild. Once a player has completed the main quest line for his or her guild of choice, the guild’s hub will allow the player to pick up these randomly generated, extra missions, ranging from theft to assassination and more.
