Skyrim Version 1.4.27 Hits PCs

None

The latest title update for Skyrim, version 1.4.27, is now available via Steam. The update recently came out of beta testing and fixes several bugs in both the game and game launcher (specifically for mod integration.) Unfortunately, these changes have only been applied to the PC version. Console versions will have to wait for their own patch.

In addition to mod integration fixes, the patch also addresses a series of bugs that caused controls to become unresponsive. Many of these bugs are tied to the Arcane Enchanter or other crafting stations.

The patch also fixes some compatibility problems when using an Xbox 360 controller on the PC version of the game. The most important bug involved followers sneaking properly along with you. Although there is some realism to an incompetent party member blowing your position while attempting to advance stealthily, in terms of sheer gameplay, it was just frustrating.

We will bring you more updates on Skyrim patches as they become available. As of now, no new console patch has been announced.
