You would think that taking away the flippers and bumpers of a real pinball table would render the concept unappealing, yet Zen has proven it can be a success! Now, they’re bringing their pinball hit to the PS4!
Bobby Loertscher (Community Manager of Zen Studios) touted the good news on the PlayStation.Blog today, informing players that if they already owned tables from the PS3 version, they WILL transfer to the updated next-gen edition. “It’s Pinball time on PS4! Zen Pinball 2 will launch on December 17 for PS4, featuring a selection of tables from the previous generation’s table library. If you already own these tables on PS3 or PS Vita, we invite you to download them for FREE on PS4,” said Loertscher.
If you’re not yet a fan, the Sorcerer’s Lair table is free to play so new players can get a sense of the game and see if console based pinball is right for them. Many different themed tables are available (with animations from franchises like Star Wars and Marvel). Tables coming to the PS4 version include:
- Star Wars Pinball
- Star Wars Pinball: Balance of the Force
- Marvel Pinball
- Marvel Pinball:Avengers Chronicles
- Marvel’s Doctor Strange
- Plants vs. Zombies Pinball
- Epic Quest
- Paranormal
- Earth Defense
Some of the new content coming to the PS4 will also be available for PS3 and Vita players of Zen Pinball 2 , including the Doctor Strange table for $2.99.
