Sony has announced that it has acquired Guerilla Games, the developer of the Killzone franchise. This move is being compared to Microsoft acquiring Bungie, the developer of the Halo franchise, before the launch of the Xbox. Sony’s move comes about a year before the launch of the PlayStation 3.
