Sony just revealed a gorgeous new Final Fantasy XV / PS4 bundle on the PlayStation Blog . This is the new model, the “PS4 Slim,” but since this is the standard model moving forward we’ll just be referring to it as the PS4 from now on. “PlayStation has had a long and storied history with the Final Fantasy franchise,” says brand marketing VP John Koller in the post, “which is why we are so excited that Final Fantasy XV will be coming to PS4 with a Limited Deluxe Edition Bundle.” Deluxe is right, and the bundle carries a deluxe price tag at $450 USD / $550 CAD.
Here’s what you get for the money:
- 1TB PS4 with a beautiful illustration on the front (pictured above)
- A new DualShock 4 adorned with a FF XV graphic
- Final Fantasy XV with an exclusive Steelbook case
- The “Royal Raiment Outfit,” “Masamune Weapon,” and “Leviathan Regalia Skin” DLC pieces
- Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV on Blu-Ray
It’s a nice package, though I’m not so sure I’m willing to pay an extra $100 for a a fancy graphic on my PS4, a movie on Blu-Ray, and three pieces of DLC. For that price I could buy a PS4 Pro and a copy of the game, but we all know how much Square Enix loves its premium, deluxe, ultra-uber editions for everything.
