Spike Chunsoft, the developers behind such games as Zero Escape , Danganronp a, and J-Stars Victory VS . is announcing a brand new RPG soon. Teased in this week’s issue of Famitsu , the title is set to be one of Spike Chunsoft’s biggest releases yet. Famitsu will dedicate a 14 page feature to the game, and will run interviews with the developers as well next week after the reveal.
Spike Chunsoft isn’t actually known for making RPGs. Instead, they tend to make cinematic games or deduction games, closer to visual novels than RPGs. Of course, this has made Spike Chunsoft fans excited that they might lend their expertise in storytelling to the RPG genre. Spike Chunsoft is also known for developing for the Vita, and thus fans are speculating that this might be a handheld title. We will have to wait and see.
