Square Enix Making New Action RPG

Square Enix Making New Action RPG

None

Dragon Quest IX was an amazing game. It has great single-player and multiplayer options, a humongous story, and character customization options up the wazoo. Then Dragon Quest X was announced. As an MMO. With a monthly fee. For the Wii. So where did the Dragon Quest IX team with all the good ideas go again?

Well, Ryutaro Ichimura, the co-producer of Dragon Quest IX, has been laying down the groundwork for a brand new action RPG title for Square Enix. In fact, Ichimura actually left the Dragon Quest team to take the lead on this project.

We don’t know much about the title itself, but we know that its art style has a dark and gothic twist to it. Ichimura says that he is developing this game for an international market, not just Japan. The project will be powered by the Unreal Engine 3, but we don’t know which console the project will be on, nor do we even know the project’s name.

We will bring you more information on this project as it’s revealed.
