Star Wars Battlefront is a multiplayer game only. Which means people will hope that EA and DICE’s servers are great and the other people will have good connections. Fortunately, news concerning dedicated servers has arrived.
At the 2015 Tokyo Game Show, DICE’s Jamie Keen, Lead Heroes Designer, said that there will be dedicated servers in Star Wars Battlefront . That means while there is still skill-based matchmaking for multiplayer and no server browsers, connections should be stable. After all, it’s being handled on DICE’s end.
Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Survival missions can be tested next month when the beta begins in the beginning of October.
