Stardew Valley Is Tearing up the Steam Charts

Stardew Valley Is Tearing up the Steam Charts

Stardew Valley is a game that snuck up on many of us. It released quietly, but with a ready and waiting fan base that had been following development of the Harvest-Moon -like indie game with zeal. It only took a few days for Stardew Valley to shoot straight straight to the top of the “top selling” list on Steam, looking down on games like Rise of the Tomb Raider, Counter Strike GO, and No Man’s Sky . I know this game has the advantage of being new, but it’s apparently just plain incredible. Take some of these Steam reviews as proof (via Kotaku ):

“It’s Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon combined, with stunning graphics. Everything feels so vivid and fun. Also, there’s combat. What more could you want?” “I have never played a Harvest Moon where I didn’t say ‘Man, I wish they had done this differently,’ or ‘Why didn’t they include this?’ Or even ‘That’s annoying. I wish they had made that easier.’ This game satisfies everything I ever wanted or wished could be different in a Harvest Moon , and it does it well.” You heard the people. If you’re looking for the ultimate time-sink then look no further. Concerned Ape, the developer, is just one dude, and he worked on this game for years; let’s show him some love.
