Starhawk Beta Players Get Exclusive In-Game Items

In a recent U.S. PlayStation Blog post, Dylan Jobe, President of LightBox Interactive, announced that Starhawk has officially gone gold and will hit American store shelves on May 8th. LightBox is very grateful for all the players that participated in the beta, and has planned to give them some nifty items when the full game comes out.

First, all beta players will receive “The Hand of the Founder.” This exclusive character accessory is a “gold, glowing, atom looking thing that is bonding to your [character’s] right hand.” It has no in-game effect, but does act as a special badge that shows off your beta player status.



Secondly, beta players who also played Warhawk will receive the Warhawk Paint Set. The set includes two vehicle paint schemes that will make Starhawk vehicles look like Warhawk vehicles. You’ll be able to color your vehicles like the olive-drab vehicles of the Eucadians or the black and gunmetal vehicles of the Chernovans.

Jobe did not elaborate on how these items will be distributed, but he has confirmed that neither of these items will be available for non-beta players. Neither item will be re-released or re-sold, making them exclusive prizes for the beta testing crowd.
