Many are already eager to get their hands on the next iteration of Capcom’s premier competitive fighting game, Street Fighter V. While the first wave of DLC characters for the 2016 title still haven’t been revealed in an official capacity, it seems that some light has been shed on subsequent DLC roster additions.
Capcom’s brand director, Matt Dahlgren, revealed in an interview with Gamespot that there will definitely be more characters added to the game after the first DLC pack. In fact, the company plans on releasing characters every few months in the interest of treating Street Fighter V more like a platform.
This is in contrast to Street Fighter IV, which received numerous update packs and disc based re-launches of what was, mostly, the same game. Capcom wishes to avoid angering early adopters by approaching updates to the title from a new angle.
