Tecmo Bowl Looking to Drop DS Bombs

Tecmo Bowl Looking to Drop DS Bombs

None

In 1989 NES saw the arcade football title called Tecmo Bowl grace the 8-Bit console.  It was an instant classic that even saw a sequel released in 1991 called Tecmo Super Bowl.  I have fond memories of dropping way, way back with my QB and launching 80 yard bombs into the end zone.  It was a foolproof move that had me taking home championships.

Fast forward nearly twenty years and we come to find out that Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff is not coming to next gen consoles but to the DS instead.  This means all of the simple gameplay should remain intact.  Certainly playbooks consisting of four plays will be enhanced, but the arcade feel of the old title will still rule.

Some of the important features will be customizable playbooks and teams, including colors, logos, players, cities, and player abilities.  Furthermore, the game will be controlled via the stylus and Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff will support local wireless and online play over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.  The question is, will it get ported to WiiWare?
