Pokemon Light Platinum Cheats & Cheat Codes for PC

The Pokemon franchise continues to be one of the more popular in the ROM hack community, and that includes Pokemon Light Platinum. This ROM hack was created by WesleyFG and is based on Pokemon Ruby. Set in the Zhery Region, players can use Game Boy Advance (GBA) emulators to access the game from various platforms. While keeping the spirit of the original games, players can also employ popular cheat codes and exploits, getting them rare items, special Pokemon, and other advantages in their quest to become the ultimate Pokemon champion.

Pokemon ROM hacks are a great display of fan creativity and innovation and are widely popular among fans thanks to an apparent lack of evolution within the official games. Essentially, if Game Freak is not willing to experiment and innovate within the official games in the Pokemon series, fans are there to pick up the slack and make unofficial ROM hacks that do the job. Light Platinum is known for its extensive content, unique features, and creative spin on its source material, making it a favorite among Pokemon fans seeking a fresh and exciting experience within the Pokemon universe.

Pokemon Light Platinum Premise

Pokemon Light Platinum gameplay

As a new Pokémon Trainer, players set out to explore the Zhery region from Pokemon Ruby, where difficult challenges and new friendships await. However, a dark force looms over Zhery, threatening to disrupt the balance of the Pokémon world. With the help of your trusty Pokémon, you must thwart the plans of evil organizations, uncover ancient secrets, and ultimately prove your worth as a true Pokémon Master. The journey in Pokémon Light Platinum delivers excitement, discovery, and the chance to forge an extraordinary bond with Pokémon from every corner of this magical realm.

Gameplay in Pokemon Light Platinum is similar to other games in the series in that players will be participating in random battles to earn experience. Earning experience then levels up the player’s Pokemon, who eventually evolve into stronger, better versions of their original forms. In the quest to “catch them all”, players will fill out a Pokedex containing entries on all the region’s Pokemon, collecting and using them in battles against other Pokemon trainers as part of their adventure. Where Light Platinum differs from its source material (Pokemon Ruby) is in its use of gameplay elements from the Nintendo DSPokemon Platinum in the engine of Ruby. Think of Light Platinum as a GBA “de-make” of Pokemon Platinum

Pokemon Light Platinum Main Characters

Pokemon Light Platinum gameplay

The main characters in the ROM hack are the same characters from Pokemon Ruby. They include your rival, gym leaders, and the Elite Four. There are other trainers and village folk to meet around the map. Most have simple dialogue options or none at all. They’re there to fill out the world. Of course, you’ll also have to battle quite a few of them, so you may want to use the Ignore Trainer cheat code if you want to get straight to fighting.
