You’re probably like me. You’re decent at first-person shooters and you see these “pro” eSports guys playing online and think, “I could definitely do that.” I know how it is. I’ll be watching some dude on Twitch with my headphones on and 9 times out of 10 when he dies I’m convinced that I would have heard my opponent coming or reacted more aggressively for the kill. There’s big money in eSports, now, and now we have the chance to put our money where our mouths are.
The Call of Duty World League is taking competitive CoD to a whole new level with “…year-round competition, world-class online broadcasts, and a massive $3 million prize pool.” But that’s not all. They want to get amateurs in the mix, because they’re aware of people like me; people who swear they can hold their own against some of these so-called professionals. The Challenge Division is our chance to prove ourselves. The Challenge Division is a season of competition for teams of amateurs, and at the end of the season the 80 teams (worldwide, so you better do well) with the best records will be invited to the Championship Qualifiers. There’s a lot of money at stake, so get your team together and start practicing. For more details and registration information you can check out the World League site here .
