The Culling 2 Is a Disaster

The Culling 2 Is a Disaster

While The Culling was a moderate success, back in the early days of the Battle Royale fad, it looks like The Culling 2 is dead on arrival. As reported by several outlets, just two days after release, the game doesn’t even have enough players to support a round. At one point since launch, it dipped down to two players over the course of at least an hour.

The numbers have been bad since the game debuted, frankly. At its peak, The Culling 2 only had 249 concurrents, and that was right when it dropped. From there, the number plummeted, and day two’s peak was 13, which still isn’t enough to fill a full round.

The reason for this seems to be a course correction for the game that sent it sailing right into PUBG ripoff territory, and away from the first game’s unique appeal that drew an earlier audience. The first Culling was a smaller-scale Battle Royale experience, with a focus on melee combat and a cap of 16 players in a round. Now, with its huge map, guns, and grit, it just comes off as a smaller PUBG , and nobody seems interested at all.
