The Division Could Host an Open Beta Soon

So here’s a bit of news that, honestly, we all expected but is still nice to hear. It seems that Xbox Italy’s official Facebook page has updated with an advertisement for an open beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division. If you didn’t pre-order the game or get a beta key from Ubisoft the first go around, this could be your chance to try the game for yourself. The first closed beta took place this past weekend, and has been extended until tomorrow. Due to the limited amount of content (you pretty much get one mission to complete) it’s assumed that this closed beta has been conducted as some kind of server stress test. As things went off seemingly without a hitch, it makes sense for Ubisoft to extend the beta to a wider audience.

According to the Xbox page the open beta will be held February 16-21, which would give Ubisoft plenty of time to make adjustments in preparation for the March 8 release date. Although this comes from an official page, we haven’t had an official announcement from Ubisoft just yet so the dates for the open beta could be subject to change. Stay tuned for CheatCC for more details.
