Ghost Recon takes its squad-based tactical action into the world of free-to-play online games with the appropriately named Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online. The game, a third-person shooter, is being developed by Ubisoft Singapore, with closed beta testing set to start this summer. The title will feature a class system with three kinds of Ghosts, customizable weapons, and “cutting-edge military technology.” In addition to a lobby platform for launching games, Ghost Recon Online will have a form of persistent progression, though the nature of this feature has yet to be detailed. ![]() Those who want to sign up for the closed beta should head to the game’s official website, which also includes a batch of initial screenshots and the game’s first trailer. Ghost Recon Online is yet to be rated, though the website is age-gated. There is official release date yet. |
