Remember when you were a kid, and you’d bound around your living room on the furniture? The floor was “lava,” so you didn’t dare touch it. Or maybe you did that yesterday. It doesn’t matter. It was a thing then, and it’s going to be a virtual thing now. Klei Entertainment, of Don’t Starve and Invisible Inc. fame, is making Hot Lava .
In Hot Lava, the floor is made of lava. You’ll need to bound around living rooms, classrooms, and other familiar locations, making use of furniture and other features to keep yourself safe. It’s a first person game and you’ll have to be careful, as it seems some items will move with your momentum!
The first Hot Lava trailer is out, and it looks pretty cool.
A Hot Lava beta has been planned, but there’s no date for it yet. In the meantime, you can sign up for it via the official website and go back to playing the real-world equivalent of Hot Lava in your home.
