The Last Of Us: New Trailer, Box Art, And Pre-Order Bonuses Revealed

The VGAs were a big deal for Naughty Dog’s new survival horror title game The Last of Us. A brand new trailer was shown, which outlined the storyline’s interpersonal drama. It’s like The Walking Dead with more gun-based gameplay and, of course, more fungus. However, most importantly, the trailer gave us an official release date for the title. The Last of Us will be hitting store shelves on May 7 th 2013.

Official Box Art for The Last of Us has also been revealed, and it’s already showing up on a variety of promotional images and posters for the game’s preorder package. Anyone who pre-orders the game will receive the Sights and Sounds Pack, which includes a full soundtrack to the game, a PS3 dynamic theme, and two avatars advertised as “winter Joel” and “winter Ellie.” We’re not exactly what the avatars look like, but they probably show the two main characters dressed up in winter survival gear of some sort.

However, anyone who pre-orders the game from GameStop will receive the bonus Survival Pack as well. The pack includes:

·       Bonus experience points for multiplayer

·       A multiplayer melee attack booster

·       Some extra starting in-game cash

·       Special customizable character items for multiplayer

·       Two special bonus skins for Joel and Ellie which will be unlocked after your complete the single player campaign

And yes, the Survival Pack does mention multiplayer, something that we were not sure the game had up till this point. Unfortunately, Naughty Dog is not yet ready to talk about the game’s multiplayer features. So just hold tight and we will likely receive new information about The Last of Us after the New Year.
