The Most Iconic Pink Pokémon That Anyone Would Love To Play

The Most Iconic Pink Pokémon That Anyone Would Love To Play

Who wouldn’t want to play with the most iconic pink Pokémon? As of the writing of this article, there are 1008 Pokémon in the National Pokedex. Among those thousands of Pokémon, many fans have grown to like species that are predominantly pink. From creatures that are canonically the most powerful in the universe, all the way to mimes, there is a wide variety of pink-colored Pokémon to choose for this list.

Upon considering their popularity, presence in the Pokémon canon, and how much anyone would want to play with them if they were real, here is a list that CheatCC has compiled of the most iconic pink Pokémon that trainers would love to play with immediately!

5. Slowpoke

Pokemon Slowpoke

The way the Pokedex describes Slowpoke reminds me of cat owners describing their orange cats.
You may be wondering how a comparison can be drawn between a domestic feline and a salamander-hippopotamus hybrid. If we read every single Pokedex entry from Generation 1 all the way to Generation 9, a common denominator is how no one knows what Slowpoke is thinking.
Slowpoke’s nickname is literally “Dopey Pokémon.” Researchers all concur that the Dopey Pokémon is always lost in thought. If anyone has ever been around a pet with enigmatic brain activity, you’ll understand how charming their unpredictable yet adorable nature can be. Thus, Slowpoke meets the first criteria: would trainers love to play with a dopey creature who is in a trance? A Pokémon known for being relaxed? Of course they would love to!
Slowpokes have surprisingly amassed a huge following. Researchers consider these pink Pokémon canonically as “dim” according to Pokedex entries. They have their derpy charm, and additionally possess incredible defense statistics that make them a formidable foe. Because of their high defense and charming personalities, we have granted Slowpokes a spot in our list.

Show Appearances

These Pokémon can be seen throughout several installments of the franchise, and some major examples include:

The Evolution Solution

A Shadow of a Drought

A Crowning Achievement

Slowking’s Crowning!

An Evolution in Taste!

4. Clefairy

According to the Pokémon canon, if a Clefairy dances under the moon, happiness will come to whoever sees them. Who wouldn’t want to hang out with a cute, pink Pokémon that likes to dance? A Pokémon that is capable of bringing you happiness according to science?

Due to that data extrapolated from the Pokedex itself, Clefairy fulfills the criteria of being appealing to trainers if they were real–of course they would want to play with a Clefairy! Their popularity also makes it one of the most iconic pink Pokémon in the entire series.

In terms of how iconic Clefairy is, that is covered across various forms of media. Clefairy makes a presence in the Pokémon anime, several games (including the classic Super Smash Bros. franchise) and earned a name for themself in the Pokémon Pocket Monsters manga. Since Clefairy covered all of the bases and criteria required to make the list, we awarded them the #4 spot–impressive considering how many pink Pokémons exist!

Show Appearances

Similar to Slowpoke, these dancing Pokémon have made several major appearances in the anime including:

Clefairy Tales

Wish Upon a Star Shape

A Dream Encounter!

Mission: Total Recall!

Rescuing the Unwilling!

Clefairy and the Moon Stone

A Goldenrod Opportunity

A Real Cleffa-Hanger

3. Sylveon

Eevee is an incredibly iconic Pokémon to the point that the the Normal-type Pokémon made an appearance as the title character of a Pokémon game called Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Having been present since Generation 1, it would make sense for us to include its Fairy-type evolutions, Sylveon, in the list of most iconic pink Pokémon. The Intertwining Pokémon is known for sending a soothing aura–and who wouldn’t want to hang out with a cute Pokémon whose ability is to decrease stress?

With the ability to stop conflict and destress any sentient creature, topped off with their gorgeous design and the popularity of their predecessor, we believe Sylveon’s peaceful demeanour has earned its rightful place in this list.

Major Show Appearances

As an Eevee evolution, Sylveon has made several major appeareances throughout the show’s 26-year history. A few notable episodes that include Sylveon are the following:

Party Dancecapades!

Eevee & Friends

Kindergarten Chaos!

A Fashionable Battle!

Turning Heads and Training Hard!

2. Mew

Pokemon Mew

Since we included Mewtwo in our list showcasing the top 10 Psychic-type Pokémon of all time, we figured it would be fair to include Mew in the list of the most iconic pink Pokémon that anyone would love to play with. There are many reasons for this, fans of the series will know how important Mew’s existence is.

Researchers claim that Mew has the DNA of every single Pokemon in existence. Ever since Mew made an appearance in the games, and later in Mewtwo Strikes Back, its bipedal form was considered cute by many. As far as players know, Mew is the only creature who can perform the Z-Move Genesis Supernova ability.

With a history of over two decades in the franchise, invisibility, and a myriad of Psychic-type abilities Mew earned its spot in this list. It’s adorable eyes and innocent-looking form was favored by fans when seen in the anime, manga and even Super Smash Bros. Mew’s multiple multimedia appearances and legendary powers, topped with a friendly (yet shy) demeanour makes them one of the most iconic pink Pokémon of all time.

Show Appearances

Mewtwo Strikes Back

The Uncut Story of Mewtwo’s Origin

Mewtwo Returns

Mewtwo Strikes Back—Evolution

Lucario and the Mystery of Mew

Enter Pikachu!

The Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon

1. Jigglypuff

Pokemon Jigglypuff

Allegedly, Jigglypuff has an interesting story of having a design that drew the attention of female players (as well as children) because of its hue of pink. The Balloon Pokémon has been present since Generation 1, and has made appearances in games and media outside of the Pokémon franchise such as Super Smash Bros., Pokémon: Detective Pikachu movie, several manga adaptations and even a cameo in John Oliver’s sixth season of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.

Jigglypuff’s trademark ability of knocking any sentient creature into a state of unconsciousness is extremely powerful. Coupled with other Normal and Fairy abilities, this Pokémon is not to be underestimated. This Pokémon has many powerful abilities, and international acclaim. It is easy to see why Jigglypuff made it to our list as the most iconic pink Pokémon.

Show Appearances

Throughout the lengthy run of the Pokémon anime, Jigglypuff has consistently made several major appearances. Adding to the pre-existing popularity of the Pokémon, and its game appearances, the Balloon Pokémon has made major appearances in:

The Song of Jigglypuff

Alola, Kanto!

When Regions Collide!

Thank You, Alola! The Journey Continues!

The Ancient Puzzle of Pokémopolis

The Legend of Thunder!

Rough, Tough Jigglypuff

Yes in Dee Dee, It’s Dawn!

Performing with Fiery Charm!

I Choose You!

We hope you enjoyed reading our list of carefully curated pink Pokémon. As previously mentioned, we were looking for a specific set of criteria. When analyzing the lengthy list of pink-colored Pokémon, some of them did not seem particularly appealing to play with. Others seemed like a joy to play with, but lacked the pink coloration we were looking for when creating this list of the most iconic pink Pokémon that anyone would love to play.

Measuring how iconic a Pokémon is was no easy task, but we hope you recognized these popular pink creatures and even watched an episode or two of the anime where they made cameos!
