The Walking Dead Is About To Infest Your Console

The Walking Dead Is About To Infest Your Console

Telltale Games must treat their developers like slave laborers. Because in the last twelve months, that have not only developed and released a five-game episodic series for the Back to the Future franchise, a four-game Jurassic Park series, and a seven-game Law and Order story arch, but they’ve also been hard at work on a title based on The Walking Dead. Well, it looks like all of the lashings that their developers received are about to payoff for the company, because Telltale CEO Dan Connors has revealed that The Walking Dead is in the final stages of production.

In an interview with Digital Trends, Connors said that fans can expect the game to show up on Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network relatively quickly after it is submitted for certification later this week. Though, the approval process typically takes about six weeks, so don’t log on to XBL just yet.

The Walking Dead will be another one of Telltale’s episodic franchises, but will not follow the series’ central protagonist. Instead, the story will revolve around an entirely new character named Lee Everett. Everett is convicted criminal who is given the chance to make up for his crimes by helping innocent people avoid having their brains eaten.

Obviously, there’s no definite release date attached to the project just yet, but it’ll be here sooner than you’d expect. Just like the real zombies.
