Last Resort is a sidescrolling shoot’ em up developed by Japanese developer, SNK for the Neo-Geo in 1992. The game was also ported to most modern consoles with the SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 and the ACA Neo-Geo rereleases. Last Resort received a positive reception on release and was praised for its graphics, music, and multiplayer capabilities. However, the game was also criticized for its lack of content and bad Neo Geo AES port.
The Premise Of Last Resort
In Last Resort, you fight through five stages two times before destroying the end-game bosses. You pilot a jet that eventually upgrades into an indestructible robot drone that can shield small projectiles. You follow a futuristic tale, about mankind and its ability to colonize space. Suddenly, a computer virus infects the computer running man’s space station and forms a cult around itself. Earth’s only hope is to fight back with advanced spaceships.
