Xain’d Sleena, also known as Solar Warrior, is a side-scrolling sci-fi platformer from 1986. This arcade game was developed and released by Technōs, a Japanese studio known for arcade games like River City Ransom. It was later ported for computers in Europe like the Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, MSX, and ZX Spectrum under the title Soldier of Light.

Xain’d Sleena Premise
In this far-off galaxy, five planets are being overrun by evil forces and must be liberated. Players can select any order to visit the planets. Each planet has a boss with a base that must be defeated. After taking down a boss, there are waves of enemy ships that must be destroyed when traveling to the next planet.
Xain’d Sleena Main Character
The game follows the titular character Xain, a galactic bounty hunter. He must defeat the evil forces who oppress the five planets. Xain can crouch, jump, and double jump. He can get power-ups from enemies that can change his default laser gun to a laser-grenade gun, a 2-way gun, and more.
