The Walking Dead Season 3’s Skipping PS3 and Xbox 360

The Walking Dead Season 3’s Skipping PS3 and Xbox 360

Bad news for people adamantly clinging to their PlayStation 3s and Xbox 360s. If you love adventure games, you probably aren’t going to have a new one. It turns out The Walking Dead: Season Three is skipping the older consoles. It’s only going to be on current generation devices. Which could complicate things for people who played previous entries on older systems.

See, The Walking Dead lets you import your save files from previous games. With the third season not coming to the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, it means people will need to go through a few hoops to import those files to a more current system. You need to make a Telltale account, download a patch for The Walking Dead: Season Two on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, upload it it from your system, link it to that account, then download it to your new device when you begin playing The Walking Dead: Season Three . You’ll be able to import that save the second you begin A New Frontier , so you won’t miss a thing.

While it is a little convoluted, at least Telltale Games is giving us this option. Given how easy it’s been to connect with Clementine, I’m sure a lot of people will gladly go through these steps to preserve and continue their story.
