The Witcher 2 Finally Heading To Xbox 360

None

Last June, CD Projekt announced that The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings would be making its way to the Xbox 360 by the end of the year. However, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, 2011 ended a while ago and we’re still not playing The Witcher 2 on our consoles. On August 1, the developer announced that they would be pushing the release back to an unnamed date in 2012, saying that they needed “more time expanding and polishing certain elements of the gameplay.”

Well, CD Projekt has finally put a definite release date on the Xbox 360 launch: April 17th, 2012. And, according to the developer, this is the best version of The Witcher 2 to date. In a press release, CD Projekt bragged about the game, saying that it’s the “most polished and definitive version of the game” so far.

Here’s a rundown of what will be included with the 360 release:

  • A swanky new CGI Intro

  • 33 minutes of new cinematics

  • Four additional hours of gameplay

  • Two new adventures

  • New characters

  • New locations

  • Revamped intelligent camera system

  • New target locking system
  • Improved Character Panel
  • New panels navigation bar
  • More responsive control system

Gamers will also have the option to choose between the standard edition and the slightly more expensive special edition, which includes an art book, a few stickers, a ‘making of’ DVD, and a handsome medallion, which will make all the girls jealous.
