The Chicago Tribune reported this morning, on an SEC filing from Friday, that former video-game publisher Midway Games has “agreed to sell ‘substantially all’ of the assets related to its San Diego studio to THQ Inc.” THQ picked up the San Diego side of the business for just $200,000. As good as a deal as that may seem for all of Midway San Diego’s assets, THQ did acquire the rights to Midway’s TNA Wrestling franchise. Regardless, more than 40 of Midway San Diego’s 100+ employees will find positions with THQ.
