After the buyout of doomed developer/publisher Midway by Warner Bros., major readjustments are occurring at the company. The reshuffling and reallocation of resources by WB has lead to the closing of Midway Newcastle (UK) and a 60 day notice of closure to Midway San Diego. Moreover, loads of layoffs at the company’s headquarters in Chicago are also underway. GameSpot is reporting that these layoffs will likely not affect the teams currently working on the Mortal Kombat franchise.
