More Dragon Ball FighterZ news is rolling in, this time parallel with the North American closed beta test. In Japan, three new characters were announced for the fighting game in V-Jump. Two are members of the series’ supporting cast, and the other is a brand-new, original character.
Coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ are longtime supporting characters Tien and Yamcha, both of whom have been in the Dragon Ball story since before the “ Z ” was added. Also coming is Android 21, the new character created just for this game. Earlier reports noted the game’s story mode is an original story heavily involving Android 16, so this new character is clearly a part of that.
Android 21 is said to be as smart as Dr. Gero, the creator of the androids. The story in V-Jump also notes some of the special moves Yamcha and Tien use. Yamcha has the Spirit Ball and Neo Wolf Fang Fist. Tien has Neo Tri-Beam Meteor, and appears to have access to Chiaotzu as a unique assist.
