Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 Delayed Indefinitely for 360, PS3

Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5 was not well received. It got horrible scores from reviewers across the web and is almost unanimously acknowledged as the worst game in the series. Activision is very aware of this, and it looks like the company doesn’t want to allocate any more resources than deemed practical to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. Xbox 360 and PS3 owners were supposed to get it in mid-November, but now we’re wondering if they’ll see the game at all. Activision had this to say in a statement:

“We are working closely with our developers to address the issues identified by our community. Our development resources are fully focused on fixes and content updates for PS4 and Xbox One, so we have decided to delay the release of THPS5 on PS3 and X360. We will update the community when we have more specific information about a release date for PS3 and Xbox 360.”

It doesn’t sound promising. The word ‘cancellation’ has started popping up here and there in speculative headlines. Maybe if Activision patches the thing to hell and is able to salvage a decent game from the ashes last-gen gamers might have shot, but I wouldn’t hold your breath.
