505 Games intends to bring gamers back into the “Danger Zone” next year with a new title in the Top Gun universe—Top Gun: Hard Lock. Under development by Headstrong Games, the Paramount Pictures-licensed game will allow players to pilot high speed fighter jets, including the iconic F-14 Tomcat, in deadly dogfights.  The titular “Hard Lock” mode has yet to be extensively detailed, but 505 Games promises that it will enable “players [to] perform air combat maneuvers that deliver an explosively satisfying visual payoff that brings them right into the action.” Top Gun: Hard Lock is slated for release on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC in the spring of 2012. |
