Two Worlds II Delayed

Two Worlds II Delayed

None

Unfortunate news for those who have been long-awaiting Two Worlds II has surfaced today. The game, which was currently scheduled for an October release after several delays, has been delayed yet again. The new North American release date is scheduled for January of 2011, although the UK, Australia, and New Zealand release dates are still scheduled for this year.

“We understand that this is not great news for those of you eager for an October release, and we can understand that you might feel that our European cousins’ potentially getting the game before you is frustrating to say the least,” the publisher said. “However, there’s a reason for everything and although we feel that the game is truly at ‘AAA’ level…we want Two Worlds II to be absolutely flawless when it launches in the North American market.”

Two Worlds II was originally scheduled to release in early 2008 as an expansion pack for the original game. When Two Worlds II was then expanded to be a full sequel, the game was delayed.

Two Worlds II features the game’s original hero battling his way through a new quest to save the world after battling the original’s villain, Gandahar. A new multiplayer component will allow gamers to take on twelve co-op, story-driven quests. Another co-op mode allows gamers to create towns.

We’ll keep you posted if we learn more about the release date of this game.
