Ubisoft made several million more Euros than originally predicted due to better-than-expected sales of games such as Rainbow Six Vegas 2 and Assassin’s Creed. This has put the French game maker in a very solid position for 2008. In their financial report, CEO Yves Guillemot said, “We now have 14 multimillion-unit-selling franchises and will be launching 5 new IPs during the period as well as new brands in the casual games segment.” These five new franchises are H.A.W.X., EndWar, Shaun White Snowboarding, and Haze. The final title remains unidentified and was described simply as an “unannounced title.” In addition to these new IPs, Ubisoft will launch sequels such as Far Cry 2, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Prince of Persia (Prodigy?), and Anno. Look for more announcements from Ubi next week as UbiDays kick off. |
