UFC’s Featherweight Champion Is in CoD: Infinite Warfare

UFC’s Featherweight Champion Is in CoD: Infinite Warfare

Usually when we hear about a famous face appearing in a video game, it’s some sort of major actor showing up to voice one of the major characters. With Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare , we’re getting a real life warrior to lend his likeness and voice to a virtual one. Conor McGregor, the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s Featherweight Champion is going to be in the game.

McGregor shared the news via Twitter yesterday. He’s even going to appear in an ad today and play an as-yet unannounced role in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare . I’m sure it’s quite a change from his real life role. He’s been with the UFC since 2013.

This isn’t the first time an athlete has been involved with a Call of Duty game. Most recently, Marshawn Lynch appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops III . Think of this as a means of honoring a real world badass.
