Unity Launches Support for Nintendo 3DS

Unity Launches Support for Nintendo 3DS

The popular engine, Unity, is now available on the popular handheld, the Nintendo 3DS. Unity officially announced its intention to make this possible last year, and has just now been able to implement this decision.

The engine will be compatible with all versions of the Nintendo 3DS, but the company urges developers to target the New Nintendo 3DS as they have been working hard to optimize for that particular platform and its minor changes in hardware.

The company also says that an even more advanced version of the software will be available for the New Nintendo 3DS in the near future. They went on to clarify that they really do mean the “near” future, but putting a specific date on it isn’t easy to do at this junction.
