The insanely popular iPhone app/game Angry Birds is coming to Wii and 3DS, according to developer Rovio Mobile via Twitter. The game was recently announced for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. All three versions of the game – the original, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio – will be available in the near future, Rovio said in an interview with website Nintendo 3DS Focus. In keeping with previous releases, Rovio plans to make these versions available via download rather than at retail.  Rovio has made an extremely successful living out of this game, to say the least. Angry Birds recently surpassed the 50 million downloads mark, and with this planned release, it will soon be available for every current major gaming platform. |
