Activision’s promised partnership with Rovio has been given official details, as the pair has announced that Angry Birds Trilogy, an HD collection of previous Angry Birds titles, will be coming to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo 3DS. Rovio’s EVP of Games Petri Järvilehto told IGN that the trilogy, which includes the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio, has been specially revamped for HDTVs and will feature individual leaderboards and other special content.
“The backgrounds have been animated, we’ve added lighting modes, reactive backgrounds, the list goes on and on. We believe that there are a lot of people on the consoles who appreciate a great casual game play experience. This is a game that resonates across a wide audience on many platforms.” In addition to the added content, Angry Birds Trilogy will also utilize Kinect, Move, and StreetPass for its respective consoles. No word has yet been given on the cost of the collection, but expect to find out sometime in the near future, as the set releases this holiday season. By Jeff Dunn |
