Developer Rovio has announced Bad Piggies, the successor to its smash hit Angry Birds.
Launching on September 27 for iOS, Android, and Mac, Bad Piggies will let players take control of the pesky swine that have served as the villains of the popular bird-flinging franchises.
Windows 8 and PC versions of the title will arrive “shortly” after the initial launch.
Details on actual gameplay are scarce, but Rovio does note that Bad Piggies will not have “a slingshot in sight,” so expect all-new mechanics to be implemented.
“We’ve had a lot of fun creating a totally new and unique gameplay experience,” said Rovio’s EVP of Games Petri Järvilehto. “There’s so much more to these pigs than what is seen in the Angry Birds games, and Bad Piggies is the first glimpse into what’s going on in the imaginative and ingenious minds of the pigs.”
