Video Games Saved the Radio Star?

Video Games Saved the Radio Star?

None

Confirming what has become increasingly apparent, the Associated Press is reporting that video games are becoming an increasingly potent force for the music industry.

According to RedOctane co-founder and president Kai Huang, “Aerosmith made more money off the June release of “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith” than either of its last two albums.”

Moreover, “Artists from Nirvana to the Red Hot Chili Peppers have seen sales of their music more than double after being released on the games,” continued Huang.

There’s no telling how long the music and rhythm genre will maintain its stranglehold on the games market, but right now it’s certainly a force with which to be rekoned.
