If pre-orders are any indication of consumer confidence, PlayStation VR is shaping up sell really well. Actually, all of the 2016 HMDs sold out of their initial pre-orders, including the obscenely expensive (at $800) HTC Vive. On Tuesday pre-orders went live for the PlayStation VR bundle, which includes the HMD with all of its components and demo disc, a PlayStation 4 camera, two move controllers, and PlayStation VR Worlds. Those pre-orders sold out on Amazon in less than 8 minutes, to the surprise of no one. If you missed out on the chance to pre-order your own, don’t get bummed; another wave of hardware will be available for pre-order tomorrow.
Amazon announced that another batch of PS VR bundles will be available for pre-order tomorrow starting at 2PM PST, which is 5PM EST. You’ll probably want to go ahead and open up a tab and be ready to refresh when the time comes, because this batch of pre-orders will likely sell out as quickly as the first. The bundle is $500, and according to Sony the core unit (along with its components and demo disc) will also be available for pre-order starting next Tuesday, priced at $400.
