GTA Online could perhaps be the best part of Grand Theft Auto V , an already remarkable game. The range of activities and options is limitless, and Rockstar Games’ ample updates have ensured a steady stream of reasons to keep returning to the game. One of the best updates this year was GTA Online: Lowriders on October 20.
Which brings me to my point. GTA Online: Lowriders was awesome and Rockstar Games needs to give us more of that. True, it isn’t the first car customization option in the game. Los Santos Customs covered that by providing aesthetic and performance mods on select vehicles. It’s just that Benny’s Original Motor Works and the Lowriders are a little more special.
Much of the fun of GTA Online comes from doing the missions, rolling with a crew, or even trolling other players. But there’s another important point, and that’s showing off. Sometimes it’s fun to put those GTA$ you earn toward something special that shows people how much effort you’ve put into the game. You can do that with select cars at Los Santos Customs, but the Lowriders are really all about style. If you can afford one and do it up right, you can show people how much you care about your virtual appearance. We need more of that.
Especially since there are so many cars in the game. People who spend a lot of time playing GTA Online , which is really easy to do, may have a small fortune built up. More updates like the Lowrider one would allow people to have more show cars and specialized shops that focus on more detailed touches on any car that falls under that category.
Besides, car shows are boring if you only have one type of car present. GTA Online: Lowriders lets you set up virtual car shows with Interaction Menu options that let you open the doors, hood, and trunk and turn on the engine, lights, and radio. It’s the ultimate means of showing off. Wouldn’t it be great if, a year from now, there were three or four different kinds of cars that had their own special shops and unique customization features?
It’s a fantastic idea and honestly, there’s enough time to make it happen. With GTA Online , Rockstar has created a game with significant staying power. As long as it keeps releasing worthwhile updates like the Lowrider one, people will keep coming back to play. And giving players more specialized vehicles would be a fantastic start.
