Wii Getting Resident Evil Port After All?

Wii Getting Resident Evil Port After All?

None

In case you haven’t heard, Resident Evil 5 will be launching this Friday, March 13th – see how they did that? – for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  So, what about the throng of Wii owners out there in gaming land? As it turns out, no plans have been made to port over RE5 to Wii.

According to Capcom’s Associate Product Marketing Manager, Matt Dahlgren, as picked up by Joystiq, Resident Evil 5 “pushes the boundaries of graphics and gameplay,” continuing on to say, “It was made for the Xbox 360 and PS3.”

That being said, the Nintendo faithful won’t be completely left in the lurch.  Dahlgren followed up his statements by saying, “Nintendo Wii fans will be very happy very soon,” when asked about whether the game would find a home on Nintendo’s console.

In light of these comments, it is now being speculated that perhaps dusty Resident Evil classics such as Code Veronica are in for a Wii-make.  No details have yet surfaced as to when an official announcement will be made, though Dahlgren did hint that it would be coming very soon.
