Wii U’s Lost Reavers Will be Free-to-Play This April

Wii U’s Lost Reavers Will be Free-to-Play This April

The Nintendo 3DS has a number of free-to-play games, mostly Pokémon titles, but the Wii U doesn’t have much to choose from. That’s going to change this April. Bandai Namco is localizing Lost Reavers , a free-to-play cooperative game where four people get to head into ruins in search of treasure together.

Here’s the official Lost Reavers trailer, filled with Nintendo Direct footage.

In Lost Reavers , you’re traveling the world and taking on missions to get treasure. As you do, the four characters you can choose from will level up and get new skills. Each one has its own playstyle, so experimenting is key. So is getting together a good group, since you’ll only succeed if you play with other people. There are puzzles, traps, hordes of monsters, and multiple paths. You can only win the money you need to get new equipment if you team up.

The Lost Reavers open beta will begin on April 14. The full game will launch on April 28. No word yet if there’ll be something special for people who participate in the beta phase.
