World of Warcraft’s Newest Item Is an Angry Looking Fish

World of Warcraft’s Newest Item Is an Angry Looking Fish

Soul Calibur, Dark Cloud 2 , and World of Warcraft have something in common; they are all games that don’t shy away from putting silly weapons into the hands of its players. The newest expansion for World of Warcraft, Battle for Azeroth, further demonstrates the point by allowing players to equip a ghastly, kinda gross, floppy fish.

The weapon, which functions as a one-handed mace, can theoretically be duel wielded for maximum hilarity. It was discovered by a player named Stan during the Battle for Azeroth beta. It is officially called the Stinkrot Smasher, which might even be funnier than the weapon itself. It can be found as an item drop in the open world. It binds to a player on equip so, assuming it isn’t equipped, it can be sold on the auction house as well.

The expansion itself is not out yet, so what we know surrounding the Stinkrot Smasher can potentially change. Heck, even after launch, things can be patched. But fingers crossed that when Battle for Azeroth is released on August 13, 2018, we’ll be able to experience the Stinkrot Smasher in all its glory. Perhaps there will even be other silly items for players to discover.
