World of Warcraft: Traveler Is a Series of Novels for Kids

Want to learn more about World of Warcraft ? Don’t head to a computer or buy an early ticket to the movie. Head to your nearest library. Blizzard and Scholastic are working on World of Warcraft: Traveler , a young adult book series based on the MMORPG.

It even has a trailer. When was the last time you saw a book with a trailer?

World of Warcraft: Traveler stars a boy named Aramar, who’s joined his father, Captain Greydon, on his ship. There, he learns about life at sea from a second mate named Makasa. That is, until pirates attack. Aram and Makasa are shipwrecked on Azeroth, following Greydon’s compass to their destinies. The first book will be released in North America, Europe, and Australia in November, and a second installment will come in November 2017.

This is a fantastic idea. It can be difficult to get kids excited about reading. Tying the series to a popular video game is a great way to get them involved. It worked for Minecraft . It’ll work for World of Warcraft too.
