World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Cheats & Cheat Codes for PC

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the third expansion of the world’s most popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft, released in 2010. Cataclysm is the follow-up to the events of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, which was released two years earlier. This expansion introduces a range of changes to the game, reshaping both its landscape and gameplay mechanics, and adding new dimensions to the raids, dungeons, quests, and more.

Even after nearly 20 years of gameplay, World of Warcraft remains one of the most popular games on the planet. Since Cataclysm, the game has been expanded several times. However, here we’ll take a look at the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm expansion and what cheats, tips, and tricks are available for it.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Premise

As the third expansion for the immensely popular World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, it raised the maximum player level from 80 to 85, allowing players to achieve new heights with their characters. The expansion also revamped the two main continents, Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms, with massive changes to the landscapes. The game’s new environments included flooded areas and lava. It also introduced new regions for players to explore. With such immense changes to the game’s world, there are also 3500 new quests as well as updated quests for newer players.

The expansion also adds ten new dungeons and five raids, the new secondary skill, Archaeology, and other alternative activities. Other major changes include the overhaul of the glyph system, which now includes prime, major, and minor glyphs. The glyphs are also now permanently learned.

Two new playable races, the Worgen for the Alliance and Goblins for the Horde, are added to the game as well. This expands the racial choices for players to a total of twelve. In addition, existing classes are now available to more races. Major cities, Orgrimmar in Kalimdor and Stormwind in Eastern Kingdoms, are redesigned, too. The gameplay of World of Warcraft stays largely the same, focusing on exploration, character progression, and engaging in both PvE and PvP battles.

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Characters

The characters are the heart of a role-playing experience and World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is no different. This expansion brings to life a cast of characters, both new and familiar ones, each playing an important role in the story of Azeroth. Key figures like Deathwing the Destroyer, the fearsome dragon whose return brings along cataclysm, and Thrall, the former Warchief of the Horde who steps down to make a bigger difference in the world, are key to the story. Other characters woven into the narrative include Garrosh Hellscream, who takes over as Warchief of the Horde, fighting against the Alliance, and Varian Wrynn, the human king who has to combat back.

Main Characters

  • Deathwing the Destroyer: Originally known as Neltharion the Earth Warder, Deathwing is the main antagonist of the expansion. Deathwing’s return causes the cataclysm, which reshapes the world of Azeroth.
  • Thrall: The orc shaman and former Warchief of the Horde. Thrall seeks to make a difference in the future of Azeroth and steps down from leading the Horde. One of the central characters in the entire World of Warcraft universe.
  • Garrosh Hellscream: The aggressive Mag’har orc warrior who takes over as Warchief of the Horde after Thrall’s exit. He starts an offensive against the Alliance.
  • Varian Wrynn: The king of the human city of Stormwind who responds to Hellscream’s aggression, mobilizing forces to the Southern Barrens and Stonetalon Mountains. He is the leader of Alliance and one of the key characters in the universe.
  • Vol’jin: Leader of the Darkspear tribe of the Trolls, he opposes the competing Zandalari tribe’s plans and seeks aid from both the Horde and the Alliance. This jungle troll is important to the storyline of World of Warcraft.
  • Ragnaros the Firelord: Elemental lord banished from Mount Hyjal, only to continue causing havoc in the Firelands. The final boss of the raid Firelands.
  • Malfurion Stormrage: A powerful druidic champion who plays a key role in the battle against Ragnaros in the Firelands. This first mortal druid of Azeroth is the brother of Illidan Stormrage, both of whom are major characters in the game universe.

Games in the Series

World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) series celebrated for its expansive world, complex character development, and great gameplay. The game series began with the initial release, World of Warcraft, in 2004. Since then it has been expanded several times bringing new features, more character options, better equipment, more detailed environments, visual upgrades to graphics, and much more. Here are all the expansions in addition to the base game:

  • World of Warcraft (2004)
  • World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade (2007)
  • World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (2008)
  • World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (2010)
  • World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria (2012)
  • World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor (2014)
  • World of Warcraft: Legion (2016)
  • World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth (2018)
  • World of Warcraft: Shadowlands (2020)

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Cheats

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, like other World of Warcraft expansions, doesn’t support traditional cheat codes. This is simply because it is an online-only multiplayer game, which relies on the level playing field between players. The addition of cheats would completely ruin the game’s intentions and that is why Blizzard has been one of the companies most actively upgrading cheat recognition software.

However, players can still use various in-game commands for administrative tasks and to improve gameplay. Here we’ve listed some of the more important console commands available to the players. Note, however, that some commands may not work depending on the version of the game or expansion.
