Xbox 360 Flash Drive Storage Capacity Officially Doubled

Xbox 360 Flash Drive Storage Capacity Officially Doubled

The curious storage capacity upgrade released as part of the Xbox 360’s Fall 2012 dashboard update has been officially confirmed, Joystiq reports.

The update doubled the console’s USB storage limit from 16 GB to 32 GB, alongside adding Internet Explorer for Xbox LIVE Gold members, an improved UI, and more responsive user recommendations.

“The more our customers use their profile and download digital content, the larger the file size necessary to store that content and move it between consoles gets,” a Microsoft representative told Joystiq. “Therefore we increased the size of the memory to enable our customers to take more of their Xbox profile with them on the go.”
