Looking to get back to Yoshi’s island? You will be able to in only a few months. Nintendo of America recently announced a release date for Yoshi’s New Island for the 3DS. The brand new Yoshi platformer will hit the states on March 14 th in North America.
Yoshi’s New Island is a completely new platformer done in the style of the original Super Mario World 2 . Once again, Yoshi has to guide Baby Mario around his island to safety, and one again we all have to listen to that horrendous scream. Yoshi’s New Island introduces a whole host of new enemies though, as well as brand new powers for Yoshi to use. For example, Yoshi can now eat giant enemies that are scattered around the island. Doing so makes him lay a giant egg that can smash through stages much like giant Mario did in New Super Mario Bros. Check out the official trailer released by Nintendo.
