YouTube Now Runs in 60FPS

YouTube Now Runs in 60FPS

YouTube is introducing a brand new function to it’s website. Now  game footage can be viewed in 60fps! That means that game footage will look as good as it does in the real game in replays. Up until now we have only been able to get an approximation of what gameplay footage is like, as YouTube videos only ran at 30FPS. This causes some problems, especially with games with blinking effects as characters would either simply disappear or flash to one color and stay that way.

But be the judge yourself! Here is the Battlefield Hardline trailer in 30fps, the original YouTube speed, and here it is in 60fps. Can you tell the difference?

I think it’s a huge leap forward and I can’t wait to see how other games look in 60fps. Guilty Gear Xrd anyone?
