ZeniMax Files Trademark For Dragonborn

ZeniMax Files Trademark For Dragonborn

None

Back in April, ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, filed a trademark application for Fus Ro Dah, the popular dragon shout from Skyrim. Now the company is filing another trademark application for “Dragonborn” which, in the world of Skyrim, is a mortal man who is born with the blood and soul of a dragon.

A while back, ZeniMax filed a trademark for “Dawnguard” which turned out to be the title of Skyrim’s next expansion pack. As a result, some people are wondering if this new Dragonborn trademark has something to do with yet another Skyrim expansion.

However, it is very possible that ZeniMax is simply filing the trademark to protect their intellectual property. For example, the creator of the “Dragon Shout” app recently received a copyright infringement notice from ZeniMax. It’s possible that they are filing trademarks for any name associated with Skyrim, simply to prevent anyone from using them in a product.
